Aloe & Lemon Hair Wrap (natural dandruff relief) Aloe Vera also known as the Medicinal Aloe, is a succulent plant, which has a long history of medicinal use. It is a rich source of amino acids, vitamins A, C, F, B-group. Aloe Vera is widely used in treating skin-related problems. It possesses cooling, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anti-fungal, regenerating, soothing, hydrating, and healing properties. Honey has strong nourishing, healing, and cleansing, antibiotic and rejuvenating properties. Honey is also highly rich in many essential nutrients that are important for healthy skin and hair. Note: a patch test is strongly recommended. Do not use if you have an allergic reaction to bees and bee products. Lemon Juice possesses antioxidant, antiseptic, astringent, refreshing, stimulating, and toning properties. It is highly rich in Vitamin C. It also contains Vitamins B and P, calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, potassium, and other nutritive minerals. Lemon lowers pH of a product to protect the acid mantle of our skin. Tea Tree Oil is a natural antiseptic with anti-fungal and antimicrobial activity. Tea Tree Oil has excellent dermal penetration and anti-inflammatory properties. Due to its strong odor, it should be used in small amounts in cosmetic preparations.
Ingredients: Preparation:- Cut a lower leaf from aloe vera plant.
- Wash the leaf under warm water.
- Trim off the thorns on both sides.
- Split the leaf lengthwise and scrape out the clear gel.
- In a small bowl combine aloe gel, honey, and lemon juice.
- Add tea tree oil and whisk together.
Directions:- Before shampooing rub the mixture into your scalp in gentle, sweeping motions.
- Put on a shower cap and wrap your head in a warm towel to help penetration.
- Leave on for 30 minutes.
- Then wash out with shampoo as usual.

- All recipes may be doubled or tripled.
- Prepare your skin/hair care products for immediate use.
- Use only fresh ingredients.
- Create the skin/hair care products for your skin type.
- Use a non-metallic (ceramic, glass, enamel) containers, metal can have chemical reactions with natural products.
- It is best to use a small but powerful food processor or blender to make a smoooth paste.
- Keep all substances away from your eyes. Some substances (ex: lemon, alcohol) used in recipes can irritate the eyes.
- Always cool finished products to a comfortable temperature to apply to the skin.

- Place herbs in a jar, labeled with the current date and name of the herbs.
- Add enough liquid to completely cover the herbs.
- Cap with a tight fitting lid, put the jar in a dark cool place, and shake if necessary.
- After suggested time, strain the contents through several layers of cheesecloth.
- Allow to settle overnight in a new clean jar.
- Filter one more time for final storage.
- Store in a labeled, non-metallic container away from light and heat.

- Most recipes use dry herbs, unless otherwise stated, but dried and fresh herbs have the same properties (use twice as much fresh herbs as dried ones).
- If you use fresh herbs, remember to rinse them.
- Chop fresh herbs finely before using.

Garlic and onion possess antioxidant, stimulating and healing properties, and contain all the essential vitamins and minerals that help to revitalize skin and hair.
Unfortunately, it is difficult to eliminate pervasive and irritating odor after applying preparations that contain onion or garlic.
Try some of the following solutions to cast out onion/garlic odor:
- use onion/garlic juice instead of cut/pressed pulp for preparations
- add a couple of drops Rosemary or Tea Tree essential oils to onion/garlic preparations
- rinse out preparations with cool water
- use Chamomile Conditioner (view recipe) or Senna Scrub (view recipe) after applying onion/garlic treatments
- rinse your skin/hair with Mustard Rinse (view recipe), or Tea Tree Oil Rinse (view recipe)
- rinse your hair with Lemon Water (mix 1 cup of Water and 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed Lemon Juice)

Before trying any new plant or product that you are unfamiliar with, use the Patch Test to test your relative sensitivity and allergic reaction to the new ingredients.
- Mix ground plant with water to make a paste.
- Apply the paste or product to your forearm covering an area about the size of a quarter.
- Let the application dry there.
- Cover with a breathable band-aid.
- Leave it on for 12 hours.
- If there is no reaction within 12 hours, you can use this plant.
